What happens after the call

Only if you decide to go ahead:

  1. Apply online — a short application form.
  2. Confirmation interview — a second short call with our counselor to go over the details.
  3. Enrollment confirmation and invoice.
  4. Payment, then your pre-course letter with everything you need before your first day.

Many students book a consultation first; others apply directly and talk with us afterward. Both are fine.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need cooking experience?

No. The 5-week course starts from the basics. The 2-week advanced course is for chefs who already work with fish. We will help you choose in the call.

Is the course in English?

Classes are taught in English, or in Japanese with English interpretation.

Are knives included?

Knives are not included in the tuition. We will tell you what to buy and where — in Tokyo or before you travel.

Where will I stay?

Most students rent a furnished room or apartment near the campus for the length of the course. We share accommodation information with applicants and can point you to options.

How much does it cost, and when do I pay?

Tuition and payment steps are listed on each course page and explained in the consultation. See the 5-Week Course or the 2-Week Advanced Course.

I can't stay in Tokyo for five weeks. Is there another option?

Yes. A private lesson — half a day, your group only, in Tokyo — may fit a shorter stay.
