Cristina Sombray, a graduate of Tokyo Sushi Academy, visited our school as her alma mater. She is a rising star as a female sushi chef, having won a sushi competition in Spain.
They are currently producing a documentary tracing her roots from the perspective of a female sushi chef.
Cristina is preparing to open her next restaurant in Spain. The name of the restaurant is "Nagi Omakase". She said she chose the name "Nagi" because she loves to let her imagination run wild while looking at the calm sea.
Christina was very friendly and interacted with the current students.
We were impressed by how earnestly she spoke about her work as a sushi chef and expressed her gratitude for being allowed to film during class.
